For ages 4-6, with adult help on the first try. Characters, prompts and audio are in Mandarin, even on this English parent page. This is not an independent course for complete beginners or a promise to master 100 characters.

Starting the first lesson

On a new device, tap 马上开始 (Start now) for nature lesson 1. With saved progress, it recommends a continuing lesson instead; it does not erase progress.
To revisit lesson 1: tap 选择主题 (Choose theme), 自然世界 (Nature), then 第 1 课 (Lesson 1).
Listen to each new character. Tap 认识下一个字 (Next character), then 开始答题 (Start questions). 再听一次 means Listen Again; speaking aloud is optional.

Point to the picture and then the character; help explain its meaning. Audio uses local synthesized Mandarin MP3s, with browser-dependent speech fallback.

Try it away from the screen

Draw a sun and moon on paper and write 日 and 月 beside them. Match each character to a picture together. Do not look directly at the sun. Writing is optional; this is a parent-led extension, not a recorded game instruction.
