A place for a small Mandarin activity
PlayLearnJoy brings listening, thinking and early character activities together for Mandarin-speaking and bilingual families. It is designed to help an adult choose an activity, begin beside their child and follow the child's interest.
English pages help adults choose and prepare. Recommended games use Chinese screens and Mandarin audio, not English instructions with Mandarin audio. The nine listening and thinking games also offer separate English play links; Chinese Character Forest does not offer an English character course.

- Start together
- Choose familiar words and demonstrate an unfamiliar action. A child's birthday alone does not determine readiness.
- Leave room to stop
- Try one activity and pause when needed. There is no required session length or promise of progress in a set number of minutes.
- Keep claims modest
- These activities offer listening and recognition practice. Completion does not demonstrate language fluency or character mastery, and this is not a complete Mandarin curriculum.
Characters have their own starting point
Chinese Character Forest is a separate Mandarin activity for ages 4-6, with adult help recommended. With no saved progress, the first lesson introduces 日 (sun), 月 (moon) and 山 (mountain). Existing lesson progress is kept on the device. It is not the default next step for every three-year-old.

Before you begin
Current games are free, with no ads or child accounts. They do not ask children for personal information or upload their answers. Technical logs and anonymous totals are described separately in the Privacy information.
The current collection focuses on ages 3-6; it is not a complete programme for ages 7-9. We do not promise learning outcomes or independent use by every beginner.
